I have never heard so many crybabies
in my Nightclub Life. Phone calls, emails, faxes from panic stricken
Owners complaining that they let their Competition pack their lunch steal
their night, and now what do they do?
They allowed the new club to open and
did nothing to knock it's winds out of it's sails.
They let their competition take their
Thursday Nights by lowering their cover, giving away free drinks and now
they are either closed and thrown in the towel on Thursday Nights, or they
are simply dead.
They get arrogant and cocky and let
their guard down and let their competition walk all over them. I
listen to these horror stories over and over, and I wonder to myself,
"what was he thinking?". "Why didn't he take the
offensive, instead of the defensive?".
Some of you really need a pie in the
face, a cold shower, a reality check.
You gave away your business, no one
else.
You allowed another club to clean
your club out.
You and nobody but

The Nightclub Industry in the Year
2002 is all about You! What you do to draw, attract and lure patrons
in.
Some Clubs and Hotels pay People like Patrick Henry huge amounts of money
to hold a "Homemade Bikini Contest" or a "Best Bartender's
Contest," I ask why? Why are you paying someone to do a
promotion, that you, yourself can present and pack your club and make all
the money on?
Why aren't you paying a Promotions
Expert like myself to provide you with a Year's worth of strategies,
marketing, promotions, concepts and new streams of income, rather than pay
someone for one big promotion that will cost you more than you will reap
and that will only put the spotlight on your club for one night?
Where is the logic?
I mean if your going to reach out for
help and boy do many of you need it, don't ask for a quick fix, one night
maybe success.
No way, demand consistency and
longevity........And don't waste your money on books, how can a book
written years ago, help you and direct you to pack your club in this Post
Sept.11th climate? How can you profit from and pack your club from what
you are paying for? Those are the questions you need to ask whomever you
are considering retaining, and also ask yourself.
I am amazed at how big Hotels and
Resorts can't create their own promotions, their own drink programs, their
own packed rooms? If a Beverage Manager can't create what it takes to
generate sales and Standing Room Only nights, what the heck is he doing in
that job? I eat, sleep and breathe this industry and I can pack any club
on any night, but, there is a method to the madness, it starts with the
knack, the knowledge and the know how to go toe to toe with the
competition and beat them at their own game.
It's not about cheap drinks and no
cover charge, it's about giving your Patrons reason after reason after
reason to frequent you again and again.
