WHY IS YOUR CLUB OPENED ONLY 3 NIGHTS A WEEK? & HORRIBLE HOOTERS

Someone please explain to me, why Nightclub Owners only open three or four
nights a week?
Someone please tell me the logic behind opening Thursday, Friday and
Saturday only?
What happened to the other four nights of the week?
If your Club can't pack it in, four and five nights a week, either you
don't have the insight, direction and strategies to make each night a
success, or you think surviving off just three nights is more than enough
revenue.
Either way your wrong..............How can you pay the following: Rent,
Electric, Water, sewer, garbage, maintenance, insurance, payroll taxes,
salaries, liquor, beer, ice machine, bar supplies, advertising, marketing,
and these are just the basics, if your only open 3 nights a week?
Why let your competition eat you alive?
Why let them open on nights your closed and monopolize the cash flow?
Why?
Are you that burnt out, that out of touch, that out of the loop, that
you can't see the forest beyond the trees? Are you and your staff that
spoiled that arrogant, that you don't need but 3 nights a week to make it?
Well, wake up and smell the cover charges you are losing.
Due to events and circumstances beyond anyone's control, People are in
a different mood now than they were before Sept. 11th, You will notice
your solid and constant numbers on the nights you are open, will all of a
sudden drop and fluctuate like never before. You will experience
dramatic dips and dives in your door numbers and your overall beverage
numbers. You must open more nights and you must incorporate new and
innovative methods of entertainment.
I read of so many clubs with Egos that don't allow them to accept the
reality of changing times and formidable competition.
But face it, your area is experiencing an influx of new bars, new
lounges and new and bigger clubs and what is your answer? To simply stay
the same and it will come back to you? Sorry Charlie, patrons don't flock
back when others are giving them more and more reasons and enticements to
frequent their club.
You must understand you can't buy a book or attend a seminar and find
out how to apply generic information and strategies to your specific
situation. Every community is different, every club has it's own
image and personality. So often what some expert will tell you to
do, has no application of any kind in your local market.
For instance what sane Club Operator in this time of the year, would
only open 3 nights a week? How will you ever be able to expand your
present presentation, your remodeling aspirations and your outside front
entrance when you don't have the revenue to even pay for another radio
spot?
Why would you ignore Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday Nights?
Why, because you don't know how to pack them, you don't know what to pack
them with and you don't know when to pack them in.
It's called your club's "Promotion Persona" and you had
better make sure your club is in the picture and not out in the frame.
Here are 12 Reasons you need to open more than 3 nights a week.
- expanded patron base
- expanded promotions
- expanded door charges
- expanded marketing
- expanded staff hours.
- expanded food and beverage sales
- expanded challenge to the competition
- expanded perception in the Community
- expanded ability to generate publicity from special Concept Nights
and Event Nights.
- expanding your share of the market.
- Appealing to more demographics than your mainstream patron base.
- giving your patrons more nights to frequent your club.
You can't do business if your not open.
You can't expand and enhance your volume and your bottom line if your
not open on nights when you use to close. This is no time to slow
down or calm down, rather this is the time to create a new war plan and a
new game plan to regain the top spot in your Community as the #1 hot spot
bar none.
It's a shame the blue collar patrons of HOOTERS don't unite and boycott
the food and beverage OWL, to show their solidarity for one Hooter's
Waitress, who was used and abused by Hooters.
Here are my two wings about the despisal behavior of HOOTERS in Panama
City Florida who promised the Hooter's waitress who sold the most beer a
Toyota, and then awarded her in an elaborate Awards Ceremony a Toy Yada
Stars Wars doll. Hooters acted in an unethical and totally
outrageous manner and this is a perfect example of exploiting your staff
to increase beverage sales and then betraying them. I hope Hooters
is punished with a huge punitive damage award. I hope Jodee
Berry the plaintiff prevails and I hope she teaches HOOTERS to pay their
Employees fairly and honestly. I have spoken to numerous Hooters
Girls who have appeared on their billboards and have done personal
appearances for Hooters and they say the pay is minuscule and that HOOTERS
tells them, " hey if you don't want the exposure we will find another
girl.."
One very popular and famous Hooters girl told them exactly where to go
and no longer appears on their billboards due to their offer of $1500.
Why is it Hooters can exploit and profit off young Girls who bust their
butts for them, but they don't have the decency or values to pay decent
compensation?
I find Hooters to be a totally selfish and self centered food and
beverage operation that is a disgrace to the American Way. Yes, I
did ask Hooters to respond to my outrage and they refused to address my
specific questions posed to them. I guess when you give toys out as cars
and mislead your own employees, betray them and treat them like minions,
why bother justifying it or accounting for it to me?
