APPLEBEE'S the worse condition of all National Chains
PAPA JOHN'S, ever since the racial remark by the former founder, big problems.
OUTBACK, along with CARRABBA'S, BONE FISH, have lost their touch.
IHOP, serving pancakes, the calories, the fat, the sodium, not going over very well.
CHIPOTLE, so many tainted food issues, never ever recovered.
BUFFALO WILD WINGS, People just are not into beer n wings like they use to be.
SUBWAY, first the rolls were not actually 6", then other major challenges, not met.
The overall reasoning given, are "Take Out" and "Delivery", which is an oxymoron.
Because, if Millennials are still frequenting these Chains, but on a "Take Out" or "Delivery" basis, then they would still be doing the numbers they expected. It's far more than those two excuses. It's because of "Desperate Dining" formats, "Outdated Menus", "Totally Terrible Pricing", "Hideous Atmosphere, Outdated, Awful Service", take your pick.
What are your Promotions for "VALENTINE'S DAY & NIGHT", your Mantra should be "WHO LOVES YA, WE DO ! " Have a "Lovers Craft Drink Menu", Have your Staff all Wear "Hearts Fashion". Show "Valentine's Day" movie on your Screens. Play "Valentine's Day Music", host a "Valentine's Night Fashion Show" by tying in with a locally owned fashion boutique that sells "Lingerie" and let their models walk the "Catwalk" you build for next to nothing and pain "Fire Engine Red" with Lips all over it. Give the Fashion Boutique Owner a Bar Tab for their Show and let them hang a huge banner, you have a beer company make for you. Also let the Fashion Boutique sell their fashions during the night, that the models sell. Nobody else in your area with present this Concept. But it has to be done right. A Female dressed in Sexy Club wear from the Fashion Boutique should MC the Fashion Show.
I have directed almost 100 Upscale Restaurants that had bars and bar areas, to make the transition from just serving food to becoming a "Nightlife Adventure" after 10pm.
It doesn't take alot of investment, but what it does do is create a brand new avenue of income four nights a week, that generates tens of thousands of $ a month. Why would you go through all the discipline of consistent great food, service and drink for your dining hours, but totally ignore the very easy, very simple methods to convert into an energized upscale after food service venue?

There are 7,000 Breweries now in the USA. If you have a "Craft Beer Brewery" near you, that does not have a "Brew Pub" within it's operation, I would urge you to contact the local "Craft Brewery" and propose that you open a "BREWS BEATS & EATS" Concept, that encompasses their Craft Beer, Live Music, "FUN", "WOW FACTORS", "FAB" and of course Eats. A Menu consisting of fresh foods, "86" the usual,fattening,sodium filled bar bites.
This Concept that I don't know of any Brew Pub hosting right now, is the way of the future. It is a SOLID GOLD WINNER.
It offers "EVERYTHING". Meaning Great Craft Beer, brewed locally, YES, Live Music, YES, Diverse, High Energy "WOW", YES, and "EATS" great, fresh foods, YES.
It goes way beyond the usual, typical, predictable "Brew Pub".
I have carefully studied this type of format and it is the ideal Concept to launch.
It gives your potential Community everything they want.
It's more than just any typical, average bar,"YUCK".
