My Father who owned Restaurants, always use to ask to see the kitchen before he ate anywhere. If a Manager refused, my Dad walked out.

Write down this "PROMOLUTION" for 2018, With regard to Brand New Promotional Concepts, Always take the risk, because you learn from your mistakes.
But, if the Concept you want to implement is totally negative from everyone within your business, and for valid, legitimate reasons, list them on a piece of paper, weigh the positives vs the negatives. When you are faced with an overwhelming negative reaction, it's incumbent upon you to list all the positives and to carefully review one vs the other.
Your "PROMOLUTION" regarding Management & Ownership should not be changing your "Playbook", but writing an entirely new one. If you can't do it, I sure can, "Piece of Cake".
A most important "PROMOLUTION" is to always know what's "NEW", what's "HOT", what is happening in "CULTURE".
Do, you have a "SPEAK SPACE" as I call it, in your Bar, Club, Bar & Grille, Sports Bar? It's where people can actually hear themselves when they speak. No? Then make this a Priority "PROMOLUTION",
Because when you have a DJ or Live Band and their sound is filling your entire room, it's because your acoustics are hideous. Therefore , this year, 2018, you are going to install "Sound Tiles" to capture the sound, rather than have it surround your whole area, preventing anyone from chatting at least in one corner. Far too many establishments, don't have a "SPEAK SPACE", so their sound is lousy, it's too loud, it's too distorted and it's impossible to have a conversation. It also gives the band a poor image and the DJ is constantly told to turn it down. It is based on how your speakers, the band's speakers are aimed as well as your overall "SOUND". This should be a priority this year. Give your Guests Quality Sound and not LOUD DISTORTION.
A new Bar.Club opened with the Owners doing most of the remodeling themselves, they focused on the bar's appearance, on the seating, but what they totally ignored was the "Sound Factor". Patrons are constantly complaining about the lack of Sound Quality, but the Owners just ignore all of their comments, and have found their business dismal.
When you present Greg Allman's SON, Dickey Bett's SON, and their Premier Guest Band. What was the Cover Charge? $5, you can't see a movie for $5, the Owners have no grasp of how to operate a nightclub, they are losing tens of thousands of dollars a month. But once again, Ego and Arrogance take center stage, so this year, make it a "PROMOLUTION" to listen, to learn, to let PROS who have decades of experience bring you to where you need to be, instead of remaining in yester years.
You need to make a "PROMOLUTION", for 'Spontaneous Swag" nights, that are unannounced, not marketed, that just "POP UP".
You need to make a "PROMOLUTION" for "POP UP BARS" that serve just VODKA & Vodka drinks, that serve RUM and just Rum Drinks, that serve just TEQUILA and Tequila drinks ONLY.
You have to, you must, you need to make these "PROMOLUTIONS" just to Thrive not to survive in your business.
