    These are the months, Nightclubs take on an entirely new Persona. Far more than just whom the "DJ" is for the weekend.
It's the time of Year, when you can do triple your usual revenue, just by capitalizing on "The Night Before Thanksgiving".
Here's a Night where everybody who is not home, sweating over a stove, want to party. I am not a "Pub or Bar Crawl" fan. Because instead of having patrons stop in and drink and leave, I want my Guests to stay all night, eating from by "Bar Bites" Menu, no longer fried everything, drinking from my own original "Craft Cocktail" Menu, enjoying our "Craft Beers", and "www.shotpakinc.com" SHOTPAKS, which are so unique and offer a fresh new approach to your shot presentation, finally not just your "DJ" or "BAND", but "FUN', "WOW", "FAB", as I have said for over 20 years on this site.
You see this Generation already expects the "BEATS", they also want the "HEAT", as in Hot Events, Parties, Concepts, Celebrations, Gatherings, Happenings, Contests, that they can participate in.
Nightclub Owners think, if they post on their Face Book page, because they don't want to spend a penny, on having their own web site, that they will have a crowd? WRONG. Social Media has created SUPER STARS just from their videos on youtube alone. So many bars and clubs will close by the end of this year, simply because Owners refuse to embrace, understand and learn what "CHANGE" is?
Too many Family owned bars and clubs and restaurants should be turned over to the next generation of the family to manage, operate and oversee.
But, stubborn, ego driven, hard headed, and selfish Family Heads refuse to do what they know they need to.
You can't and should not manage your place like you did ten years ago. Times have changed, in years to come, kids will not even learn math or English, their computers will do it for them, they will not need to learn how to drive, "Self Driving Cars" will drive for them. Technology has totally changed the way we live and in the future will take our children and put them in a World, they simply touch buttons instead of "Hit The Books".
When Millennials go out now, they don't want the same beers, the same greasy bar foods, the same local bands, the same darts, corn-hole, smoke filled rooms, with other guests dressed like slobs. It's a brand new Night Life Scene. And you either embrace it, or it exits your place.
THE "NIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING" is one of the "BIGGEST NIGHT'S" of the year. Everybody is home for the Holidays, Everybody wants to go out, while MOM or GRANDMA or WIFE or SISTER Cooks. Then on "Thanksgiving Day", it's all about Football and Family. But on "Thanksgiving Night", for 21 & Up College Age, Millennial s, and Generation Xers they want to "PARTY". Unfortunately, we closed, Our Club just had a "MONUMENTAL NIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING". As for opening on "Thanksgiving",  We just couldn't do that to our Staff or ourselves. We ran off to Disney World to relax, to chill. When we got back Friday Morning,our Answer Machine was full, notes were stuffed in our doors, they all said the same thing "WHY DID YOU CLOSE, WE WANTED TO PARTY?" As Owners, our Staff  deserved to kick back on Thanksgiving Night. We could not complain, because our previous Night was so "INCREDIBLE". Keep in mind we had a 9 Piece House Band, a DJ in Mid Air, Contests All Night Long, we gave away $1000 in cash and didn't even miss it !!!!! I was in charge of Marketing and Promotions, I busted my "Tuchus" on making sure we had a "SPECTACULAR FRIDAY and then SATURDAY NIGHTS", we came back strong, after "Thanksgiving". But, now, in 2017, I would open on "Thanksgiving Night" with a POWER HOUSE PROMOTION. In these challenging times, Owners of Clubs, cannot afford to just give competing bars and clubs easy money. NO Way, NO Night. Isn't it time for a "RE-SET" in your bar, club, restaurant with a bar, lounge, sports bar, bar & grille, how long can you just take in barely enough $ to just pay the monthly nut ?
Aren't you tired of just going through the motions, without any Real, Owning The Night Promotions?
Admit it, it's pathetic to already know what your night is going to be like, before you even open the doors?
Admit it, you've just about given up, instead of gotten with Your "RE-SET"?
Admit it, you dread even going in, because it's so depressing?
But, wait, let me ask you this, why not "RE-SET"?
Instead of barely anybody coming in, why not have a line outside?
Why are you listening to everyone from friends to family who know NOTHING about this Industry?
Why are you still serving fried foods and basic beers?
Why are you still letting your Rest Rooms look like they belong in a "Dive Bar".
Why don't you care anymore?
I FIRE IT UP, I KICK THE TIRES AND LIGHT THE FIRES, BECAUSE I LOVE THIS INDUSTRY.

  A Beautiful Bar/Nightclub, with Owners who have no clue what to do, have now aligned themselves with a "Heavy Metal Musician", who on a regular basis , is going to bring in the totally wrong crowd for this room.
 In fact, these 2 Owners said prior to opening " We are going to cater to the Young Professionals, the Old Hipsters, the Women who want a safe place to dance and party".
But, that didn't happen. Despair set in. When you listen to the wrong People, who have their own agendas, that means what they can make from what you do , that they direct you to. This Bar/Club which has a third floor, they do not even use, Huge Mistake, they should be serving Great Small Plates. An ideal stream of income. But NO.
So back to the "Heavy Metal Format", it just does not work in a Room, that you are reaching out to an entirely different demographic to keep your doors open. You can't be all formats to all people.
You can't have Latin Night, then Country Night, then Jazz Night, then Metal Night. You say to me "OH YES I CAN" and I say "OH NO YOU CAN'T". Why, because, what happened to your "Mainstream Regulars"? What happened to your "Loyal Guests"?
What you can do, what you should do, is focus on one genre of music, BUT, certainly host another genre of music night, during the week. Yes, that works. But this throwing formats against a dart board to see who comes out, does not.
Especially the most radical Crowd of all, Metal Lovers. Hey I love
"Pearl Jam", "Metallica", but to apply their music, to your room, is a very risky and tough night to host.

BOOKING HOLIDAY PARTIES
The time to seek filling up your Calendar now with Car Dealers, Banks, Real Estate Agencies, Insurance Offices, and these are just the basics that consider hosting "Holiday Parties For Their Employees".
The must important factor in booking these "Holiday Celebrations" is two fold.

 First what are you offering, and second what does it cost?

You can buy or ask for cases of the least expensive Champagne from your Vendors, which you can kick in at "NO CHARGE" as an enticement to booking the Party!

You can ask your Energy Drink, Beer, Liquor Vendors for PARTY PACKS", aka "POS", which consists of "T shirts", "Hats", "Visors", "Key chains", and all new "Technology Swag" that costs you nothing, but enhances "Holiday Parties", by giving away these freebees but at "NO CHARGE" as an enticement to booking the Party !

You can approach local independent Stores for "Gift Cards" that they give you "NO CHARGE" as an enticement to booking the Party!
In return you hang a banner, which your beer company makes for free, that has the store's name and logo on it, along with a beer the Vendor sells.
You also pass out "Discount Certificates" to every attendee of the Party.

You can approach High Fashion Independent Boutiques, and host "Holiday WOW WEAR" for Ladies, Fashion Flashes. This particular alliance is for appealing to those at your "Christmas Parties, and luring them back for "New Year's Eve".
Cocktail Dresses, Gowns, Sparkle, Glitter, Dominate the Show.

You add to your "Party Package" Free PARTY Entertainment in the choice of a "Dance DJ", or a "FEMALE Singer/Guitar Player both dress up for these parties.
Both are offered half cash and half barter of a dining/drinking Barter Card.
This way your financial exposure is kept to a very keen minimum.
