 It's SUMMER, 2017 and every Bar should be prepared, to present and promote "SUMMER BAR PROMOTIONS".

 It's "HOT", and "Bar Guests" want more than a Craft Beer, Craft Cocktail, Small Plate of Creative Bites.
More than the same usual local bands.
More than the usual DJ spinning the same "BEATS".
More than the predictable, the stale, the boring Format, that you simply go through the motions of doing day in, night out.
 HOST A "GRILL, FLIP, BURGER SHOWDOWN". So what if you don't serve food, take a Saturday or Sunday, go buy a "Gas Grill", and set it up outside and "GRILL"all different kinds of Burgers. Bacon, Mushroom, Onion, Chicken, Peppers, Veggies, the possibilities are endless.
HOST "A CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL", ADD MUSIC, FOOD, ART, FASHION.
HOST A "SEAFOOD & MUSIC FESTIVAL" FEATURING DELECTABLE SEAFOOD, LIVE MUSIC AND ARTS & CRAFTS VENDORS".
HOST A "SHOTZ & ART 2.0 EVENT".
HOST A "FASHION FLASH of SUMMER BIKINIS & BODYWEAR".
Here are FIVE Bar CONCEPTS THAT YOU SHOULD BE HOSTING NOW, BECAUSE THEY ALL CONTAIN POWERFUL "WOW" WHEN YOU PROMOTE, PRODUCE, AND PRESENT THEM IN THE " RICHIE'S RIGHT
WAY".
So, get off your "BAR STOOL", Owner, and pack your bar with Movers, Shakers and lots and lots of "WOMEN"..............................

"MTV COMES TO MY TOWN" !
So, with new TOP Management in control, and new "Programmers" under pressure to create Programming Worth Viewing, "MTV" comes to "SIESTA KEY", the Beach, Dr Beach named "The Best Beach in The USA."
Why?
Think of crystal clear water, pure white powder sand, thong bikinis are Legal, Drinking on the Beach is Legal. We call it Paradise.
 The Bars on Siesta Key are flourishing with camera crews and the new Cast of "SIESTA KEY".
The Show centers around wealthy College Freshmen who come home to "Siesta Key" for the Summer.
This is what makes a "BAR" Famous, Infamous, and a must have a drink @ bar.
So, "The Beach Club" and "Gilligan's" are on Cloud Nine.
The local Tourism Officials as well as County Authorities gave their blessings to this "TV SHOW" with just a basic format presented by "MTV".
Little do they know that like "Jersey Shore", this Reality Show is going to be very, very Edgy, Sexy, Confrontational, Situational, and on the line if not crossing it.
Our Beach is so packed now, we don't need anymore publicity.
"Trip Advisor" just named it " The #1 Beach in the USA" as well. I am thrilled for the "Siesta Key Bars".
Although, when this Show starts airing on "MTV" in July, I would hire far more "Customer Service Reps", ( Security is an ugly word you never use anymore), I would have a wand to insure nobody has any dangerous objects coming into the bar, I would search at the Bar's discretion pocketbooks, and I would double check IDs, because "MTV" attracts a very young crowd, and the legal age on "Siesta Key" to even enter these bars is 21.
Bar Business should double once the show is airing.
Many, Many Viewers are going to want to come to experience this beach and these bars.
Remember now much of the actual filming will be elsewhere.
I hope "MTV", does have respect and regard for our Beach.
It is our little piece of "PARADISE".

BARS, CLUBS, SPORTS BARS, GENTLEMEN CLUBS, MAKE SURE YOUR EXIT SIGNS ARE PROPERLY LIT, THAT YOUR EXITS ARE NOT BLOCKED.
IN THESE TIMES, WHERE SADLY ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN, YOU NEED TO PROTECT YOUR STAFF, AND YOUR GUESTS.

 BAR & CLUB DJS SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID!
NOTHING IS WORSE IN A BAR OR CLUB, THAN A DJ who simply shows up in jeans, a T-shirt, a baseball cap turned backwards, and never talks to the crowd.
Instead, he just stands there and spins.
How boring can you get?
DJs should never ever be afraid to talk into their wireless microphone and "COMMUNICATE" with the ROOM.
Not boring or foul language patter, but rather "ENERGIZED REMARKS".
You keep your Crowd engaged, otherwise you lose them and the ability to get them back becomes a major challenge.
It's 2017, you should have a wireless mic, go buy one online for $150. it worth 1000x that amount.
And Dress Stylish, not like a slob.
I will never understand why a Dress Code for Customers does not apply to Staff or the DJ or for that matter The Band.
Why should anyone dress like slobs?
DJs it's all about your performance.
it's not just the music you spin, but your entire presentation.
You have got to do more than just play music.
I mean, "Lights", "Special Effects", "Games", "Activities".
What a difference these FOUR FACTORS add to a DJ's Night.
If your DJ is full of "EGO" and does not want to enhance his own presence, than say bye bye, let him work the Window @ Wendy's and find another DJ.
Your Guests come in to dance, and party, they sincerely don't care who is the DJ, they care about the Atmosphere,the Vibe, and of course THE MUSIC. All the more reasons, a DJ should make himself as valuable as he can.
Tell the DJ's Girlfriend to "CHILL" until his break, if you have a band or when his night is over.
Girls around the DJ are pure "EGO" for the DJ.
We don't need "EGO", what we need is "TALENT, SHOWMANSHIP,STANDOUT ENTERTAINMENT.

ALOT OF THESE "ATTITUDE",ARE BASED ON "MILLENNIALS", WHO DO NOT WANT TO GIVE 100%.
THEY LIVE WITH A SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT.
THEY PUT THEIR CELL PHONES ON, DURING WORK, THEY TEXT DURING THEIR SHIFTS, THEY PUT THEIR JOBS SECOND, WHICH IS A POOR REFLECTION ON YOUR ENTIRE "FOOD & BEVERAGE" BUSINESS.
THE ANSWERS ARE NOT EASY.
A. DO NOT HIRE ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN EMPLOYED AT MORE THAN 2 OTHER FOOD/BEVERAGE LOCATIONS IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, NO EXCUSES.
B. HOLD A STAFF MEETING EVERY SINGLE WEEK.
LISTEN TO ANY GRIPES, SUGGESTIONS, INPUT,THAT YOUR STAFF HAS TO SAY.
C. REWARD YOUR STAFF, WHEN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS "SUPERIOR".
D. REDUCE THE HOURS, SHIFTS,DAYS/NIGHTS OF "WEAK" EMPLOYEES, WHO'S HEART IS NOT INTO THEIR JOB.
E.DO NOT EVER ALLOW MANAGEMENT TO COMINGLE WITH EMPLOYEES.
STRAIGHT TALK, NO MANAGER SHOULD BE DATING ANY EMPLOYEE.
THIS IS ONE OF THE WORSE WORK SCENARIOS.
F. INSTRUCT YOUR MANAGERS TO GET INTO THE SAME TASKS, THAT YOUR EMPLOYEES DO, TO SHOW THEY TOO ARE NOT ABOVE THE "GRUNT WORK".
G. STOP LETTING EMPLOYEES JUST WEAR STREET CLOTHES, SPLIT THE COST WITH THEM OF "APRONS", "SHIRTS", LET YOUR ENTIRE STAFF DRESS IN CONSISTENT STYLES.
H. COMMAND RESPECT, REQUIRE A FRIENDLY, BUT PROFESSIONAL WORK ENVIORNMENT.
FROM "COMCAST" TO "APPLE", ALMOST EVERY SINGLE CONSUMER ORIENTED COMPANY'S #1 CONCERN IS "CUSTOMER SERVICE".
THESE COMPANIES SEND EMAIL SURVEYS OUT.
THESE COMPANIES OFTEN CONTACT YOU DIRECTLY, SHOULD A NEGATIVE REVIEW BE POSTED.
THESE COMPANIES ARE STRIVING FOR THE VERY BEST "CUSTOMER SERVICE", THEY CAN PROVIDE.
SO SHOULD YOU.................................
