   THE BOTTOM LINE WITH BANDS OR DJS IS SIMPLE. IF THE BAND OR DJ IS PERFORMING, YOU HAVE A CROWD, THE DANCE FLOOR SHOULD BE SLAMMED.
IF THE DANCE FLOOR IS ONLY HALF FULL, THEN YOUR NOT DELIVERING "DANCE BEATS".
 YOUR DJ CAN THINK HE IS ILLREPLACEABLE, BUT NOBODY COMES IN TO SEE WHO IS SPINNING, THEY DO COME IN TO HEAR WHAT IS BEING SPUN?
WHEN PATRONS COME IN FOR LIVE BANDS, THEY WANT TO DANCE, THEY DON'T WANT ACCOUSTICAL SOUNDS.
 I REFER TO WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS AFTER 10PM AND SUNDAYS WHEN MONDAY IS A LEGAL HOLIDAY.
 YOUR PAYING THESE MUSIC MAKERS TO TAKE YOUR DANCE FLOOR AND TURN IT INTO
BEATS PARADISE.
THE MORE THEY DANCE, THE MORE THEY ENJOY FOOD AND BEVERAGE.
IF YOUR NOT SERVING FOOD, BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE A KITCHEN, YOU DON'T NEED ONE TO MAKE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON FOOD.
IF YOUR DJ IS WEARING A TSHIRT AND JEANS, Stop.
WHY SHOULD YOU DJ BE ALLOWED TO DRESS DOWN, WHEN YOU REQUEST YOUR GUESTS DRESS UP?
NO DJ, NO BAND SHOULD DRINK WHILE ENTERTAINING.

I HAVE ADVISED BANDS ON THEIR SETS, ON LEARNING NEW MUSIC EVERY WEEK, ON GOING WIRELESS, ON DOING TRIBUTES TO LEGENDARY BANDS.
THE BEST CLUB BAND HAS A FEMALE LEAD SINGER, OR EVEN TWO FEMALE LEAD SINGERS.
AND FEMALE MUSICIANS.
ADD ROMANCE TO THE BAND.
ASTONISH YOUR GUESTS WITH MORE THAN WHAT THEY EVER EXPECT.
YOU CAN'T GO TO A MOVIE THESE DAYS FOR LESS THAN $10, WHY SHOULD YOU FORCE YOUR BAR TO COVER THE COST OF YOUR BAND, BECAUSE NO OTHER CLUB OR BAR AROUND YOU CHARGES A COVER.
SO WHAT?
WHEN YOU ARE SO FAR ABOVE THE REST, YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CHARGE FOR "THE FUN", "THE WOW FACTORS" AND "THE FAB".

"SHARABLE DISHES", IT STARTED WAY BACK IN NYC AND SOBE @ "CHINA GRILL" LOCATIONS. GUESTS ORDERED THEIR DISHES, BUT INSTEAD OF BEING PLACED IN FRONT OF THE GUEST, THE PLATES WERE PUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TABLE. IT WAS A DRAMATIC DEPARTURE FROM WHAT EVERYBODY WAS ACCUSTOMED TO, BUT IT WORKED, WAS WELCOMED AND NOW IS THE NORM IN MANY RESTAURANTS ALL OVER THE "WORLD".
"SHARABLE PLATES", THEY ADD AMBIANCE, STYLE, AND EXCITEMENT TO THE DINING EXPERIENCE AT YOUR RESTAURANT DURING DINNER.
I ORDERED "PEKING DUCK SALAD", IT WAS FABULOUS.
OTHER GUESTS ORDERED EXOTIC FOODS, THAT WERE ALSO PLACED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TABLE, AND WE ALL ENJOYED A POPOTTURI OF TASTES.
TIMES HAVE CHANGED, IT'S 2017, THE OLD WAYS ARE THE BYWAYS.

I HAD A CLUB THAT USED A RESIDENT DJ, HE WAS VERY GOOD, BUT WE TOOK THE ICE CREAM AND ADDED THE HOT FUDGE, THE NUTS, THE WHIPPED CREAM AND THE CHERRY ON TOP, BY EVERY HOUR HOSTING "WOW FACTORS", THAT WERE STYLISH, CONTEMPOARY, AND IN DEMAND.
THE NIGHTS WENT BY MUCH FASTER, THE REVENUE CAME IN FAR QUICKER, THE CROWDS STAYED ALOT LONGER.
 IT'S ALL ABOUT ATTRACTING WOMEN AND MEN WHO SPEND.
